It's been a while since I've shared a girl crush - but I can't contain my love for Jemima Kirke as Jessa Johansson in HBO's Girls. I want to shout it from the rooftop - but in a super crass way - just like Jessa would. She makes me want to smoke cigarettes and manifest a perfect combination of dry wit + blatant honesty. She inspires me to sport a bath robe in public, dark lipstick and pleated pants.

I am extremely obsessed with the new series, GIRLS. It is just so brutally honest. Jessa is such an amazing character and agreed on the bathrobe thing.

But I think my girl crush is on Lena Dunham, the creator. Not for her character as much as watching her after the episode. She makes me want to write honest, hilarious, sometimes heart breaking portrayals of real life... Sigh, she is so cool.

HA! This is eery and funny, Miss Kathleen! Because when I was watching the last episode of 'Girls' with my partner, I said that Jessa reminded me of YOU! See?! Freaky deaky! Totally girl crush worthy.

My girl crushes? Iris Apfel and Florence Welch. Cate Blanchett is always on my list.

Bianca - YES. I love how Lena Dunham is like the total opposite of SJP / Carrie Bradshaw in that she's willing to be naked on camera just as she is. Very raw.

Bradford - GET OUT! What a compliment! One of my old friends and colleagues said the same thing (super flattering!).

I have to admit, she's the reason I decided to continue watching after the first episode, and I'm glad I did, because I'm hooked. She's my new girlcrush too!
