The Fall Cure / The Green Cure

IMG_4955

Are you guys wondering whatever happened to our commitment to the Fall/Green cure? We got really busy. It's an easy excuse but true.

However, after reading through the posts on Apartment Therapy I realized that a lot of things the Cure is encouraging and recommending are things we are already doing. Our home is a top priority and always top-of-mind.

Things like creating a sacred space out of our bedroom came to us naturally.

Decluttering was already essential to the way of life we embrace.

Creating a vision was the whole point of starting this blog.

I suppose "curing" our home has been something we've been working towards on our own for a while now. And just in the past week we've made a lot of progress on the guest bedroom and general house maintenance. And I will certainly keep you guys updated on that.

So I apologize for being flaky when it came to updating you on our progress as it specifically relates to The Cure. It's a program I would absolutely recommend to anyone that isn't already focused on making their house a place they call home or to someone that has been in a place for a long time and needs to breath some new life into it.

I love that living simply, going green and good design is trendy and being addressed not just by blogs like Apartment Therapy but by the mainstream consumers (and companies). I'm not concerned with being trendy - I just love how accessible the topic and information is and am impressed with how creative the world around me has become. But this is a whole other topic - a whole other blog post.

Stay tuned! I'm working up a fantastic giveaway for you guys!

Kathleen! I saw your brother on TV last night and I squealed! You never mentioned this, did you? I even got to see his act and someone elses. It was really cool!

Jen - I'm so excited you saw it! I was mentioning it on my Twitter (which is all whack right now - it's bringing someone else's feed into my blog) but not actually on the blog. Last night I was going to take pictures of the TV and do a post but I was too lazy. Ha!

I've been getting lots of questions about it - so I'll do a post soon!

I spoke too soon!! I got my first ugly anonymous comment, today ;)
