Heywood-Wakefield + Eames = One Happy Dining Room

We bought the Heywood Wakefield table! We met with Brian (the owner of Modern Furniture OKC) at his warehouse and checked out the table and chairs. They looked fantastic so we agreed to buy them. The warehouse was chock-full of wonderful treasures.

After talking to Brian for a while about furniture I mentioned wanting $100/yd Eames fabric and he told me about a lady on eBay selling the fabric for only $34/yd! We only need 2 yards to recover all the chairs and he's going to do it for free!

This is Ray Eames. Her and her husband, Charles Eames, are great American modern designers. Here's the Wikipedia description: Charles (1907-1978) and Ray (1912–1988) Eames (pronounced /ˈiːmz/) were American designers, married in 1941, who worked and made major contributions in many fields of design including industrial design, furniture design, art, graphic design, film and architecture.

Of the few tattoos I've considered getting that Eames dot pattern is one of them.

Anyways, here is the fabric we're getting for the chairs.

The color is "sand" - one of the few colors available on eBay and it happens to be my favorite.

These Eames fabrics are also available.
